1. Secure payment processing

The single clearest trust signal is whether checkout is handled by a recognised payment processor. Stripe and PayPal provide PCI-DSS Level 1 protection — your card number is never transmitted to or stored by the IPTV provider. Both are available on the Amazon Appstore. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the best hardware choice at this price point — 4K HDR, fast processor, Wi-Fi 6.

Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS)

Best app: Smart IPTV, available from the Samsung TV App Store. Setup takes about 3 minutes. The app has a one-time licence fee of approximately €5.49 on the TV. Alternatively, cast from your phone using IPTV Smarters Pro. Note: Samsung TVs from 2018 onwards support Smart IPTV; older models may require an HDMI workaround.

LG Smart TV (webOS)

Best app: Smart IPTV (LG Content Store). Also supports OTT Navigator for a more advanced interface. Setup is identical to the Samsung version — enter your Xtream Codes credentials, the guide activates automatically.

Android TV / Google TV (Sony, Hisense, Chromecast with Google TV, NVIDIA Shield)

Best apps: iPlayTV and GSE Smart IPTV (both on the App Store). Works on iOS 13 and later. You can also AirPlay from your iPhone to Apple TV.

Android phones and tablets

Best apps: IPTV Smarters Pro (Google Play, free), GSE Smart IPTV (Google Play). Most feature-complete option on Android is TiviMate if you're using a tablet as a secondary screen.

Windows PC

Best apps: IPTV Smarters Pro (Windows version), VLC Media Player (open source, free — open the M3U URL directly), or any browser-based IPTV player. VLC is the simplest option for occasional use.

macOS

How to buy an IPTV subscription — the exact process, step by step

This is what happens between clicking "Order Now" and watching your first channel. No surprises, no steps left out.

   Compare plans side-by-side. If you're new to IPTV, the 1-month plan at €12.99 is the sensible test. If you're already confident, the 12-month plan at €59.99 (€5.00/month) gives the best economics. All plans include the same channel library and quality tiers — the only difference is duration and simultaneous stream count.

   Enter your name and email address

   These are the only personal details required. Your email is where your activation credentials will be sent — use an address you check regularly. No account creation is needed, no password to set up.

   Complete payment via Stripe

   Stripe handles the payment page. You'll see the Stripe domain in the browser bar (pay.streamlux.online or checkout.stripe.com). Accepted methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Stripe does not store your card on our systems — PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance means full encryption of all card data.

   Receive your Xtream Codes credentials by email

   Within 5 minutes (usually less) of Stripe confirming payment, your credentials arrive by email. You'll receive: a username, a password, and a server URL. Keep this email — these are your credentials for the full subscription period.

Internet speed requirements — what you actually need and how to check

Buffering is the number-one complaint about IPTV — and it's almost always a connection issue, not a provider issue. Understanding what speed you need eliminates 90% of problems before they start.

Minimum speeds by quality tier

The stability problem most guides don't mention

Average speed is less important than consistent speed. A connection that averages 50 Mbps but drops to 2 Mbps every 10 minutes will buffer constantly on a 4K stream. A 15 Mbps connection that never drops below 12 Mbps will deliver perfect FHD. Run a speed test at speedtest.net during the time of day you normally watch — evening congestion on shared broadband is the most common culprit.

Wi-Fi vs Ethernet for IPTV

For SD and HD channels, a good Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 connection is fine. For 4K, an Ethernet cable from your router to your streaming device eliminates nearly all buffering caused by wireless interference. If running a cable isn't practical, a Powerline adapter (which sends internet over your home's electrical wiring) is a reliable middle option, costing around €30–€50 at Amazon.

Common problems when you first buy IPTV — and how to fix them

Problem: credentials don't arrive by email

Check your spam folder first — email providers occasionally misclassify subscription confirmation emails. If nothing is there after 30 minutes, contact support@streamlux.online with your order confirmation number (in your Stripe receipt) and we'll resend manually within minutes.

Problem: credentials are rejected by the app ("invalid login")

Copy and paste the credentials directly from the email — don't type them manually. Xtream Codes passwords are case-sensitive and sometimes contain characters that look similar but aren't (0 vs O, 1 vs l). Also confirm you're selecting "Xtream Codes" as the login type in the app, not M3U playlist.

Problem: channels load but keep buffering

Run a speed test. If your measured speed is above the minimum for your target quality, try: (1) switching from Wi-Fi to Ethernet, (2) closing other bandwidth-heavy applications, (3) restarting your router, (4) switching to the lower quality stream in the app (many channels have HD and SD variants). If buffering persists, contact support — we may be able to move you to a different stream server.

Problem: EPG shows "no information" for channels

EPG data loads after the channel list and can take 2–5 minutes to populate on first use. If it's empty after 5 minutes, check that EPG loading is enabled in your app's settings. In TiviMate: Settings → EPG → Force refresh.

Problem: some channels show a black screen

Some channels are geo-restricted to specific regions at the broadcaster level — this is outside StreamLux's control. Try switching to a different stream source for the same channel (most apps let you select an alternative stream). If a channel you specifically need is unavailable, contact support before purchase and we'll confirm availability for your region.
