Which device should I use?

Quick recommendations by use case.

Best overall (TV)

Modern Smart TV (2020+) for the cleanest "no extra hardware" experience, or Fire TV Stick 4K Max if your TV doesn't have the right apps — both deliver perfect 4K at a great price.

Best premium (TV)

Apple TV 4K — the best remote, the best app quality and best HDR support. Pricier, but unbeatable if it fits your ecosystem.

Best on the go

Any modern iPhone or Android phone. Combine with AirPlay or Chromecast to push to a TV when you're back home.

FAQ

Device questions, answered

Which devices work with StreamLux?

StreamLux works on Smart TVs (Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Sony, Hisense), Android TV and Google TV boxes, Amazon Fire TV Stick / Cube, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Windows and macOS computers, MAG set-top boxes, and any third-party IPTV player that accepts M3U URLs or Xtream Codes credentials.

Do I need a special app to watch?

No proprietary lock-in. Use our recommended player (sent to you after activation) or any popular IPTV player — Smarters Pro, TiviMate, GSE Smart IPTV, IPTV Smarters Lite, OTT Navigator and many others. The setup guide walks through the best app per device.

What internet speed do I need?

10 Mbps for HD (720p), 25 Mbps for Full HD (1080p), and 50 Mbps for 4K Ultra-HD. A wired ethernet connection is strongly recommended for 4K viewing — Wi-Fi works but is more variable.

Can I cast from my phone to my TV?

Yes — most IPTV apps on iOS and Android support Chromecast, AirPlay or DLNA casting. You can also install the same app directly on the TV / streaming stick for the best experience.

Can I use multiple devices at once?

Yes — every plan includes simultaneous device slots. You can watch on TV while a family member watches on their phone or tablet from a different room. Need more slots? Contact us and we'll add them to your plan.

Does it work with Apple TV?

Yes. Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (4th gen onwards) are supported via App-Store IPTV players such as iPlayTV, Smarters Pro for Apple TV, and others. The setup guide includes the exact steps.

What if my Smart TV doesn't have IPTV apps available?

Many older TVs lack the right app store. The fix is to plug in a small Android TV box, Fire Stick or Apple TV — all affordable, all work brilliantly with StreamLux, and give your old TV access to thousands of apps.

Can I record shows to watch later?

Several IPTV player apps support local recording or cloud DVR features. Catch-up TV (the ability to watch programmes that aired in the last 7 days) is also available on many channels.
